About POPINIONS

POPINIONS started with a simple thought: “What if pop music had a critic that listens the way I do?”

I’ve been a fan of western pop music for a long time, even before I started writing about it. I don’t just listen to songs, I pay attention to them. I notice the lyrics, the sound, and how everything comes together. Because of that, I always had opinions, and I wanted to share them in a way that feels real and honest.

Back in 2021, I started posting my music thoughts on Twitter. At first, it was just short reviews and quick ratings, but over time it became something I really enjoyed doing. I kept writing in notes and drafts, and eventually I wanted a place where I could say more and not feel limited.

So in early 2026, I decided to build this website. I didn’t want to copy big music magazines, but instead I wanted something personal, simple, and easy to go through. A place where my scores actually mean something because they come from one consistent voice.

Every album and song on POPINIONS is chosen and reviewed by me. The weekly rankings show what I’ve been listening to lately, and the longer reviews let me go deeper into albums that really stand out. I want the site to feel like you are reading a friend’s music diary.

The name POPINIONS comes from “pop” and “opinions,” because that is exactly what this is. My opinions on pop music, shared in a simple and honest way. The colors (orange, red, blue) reflect how I see pop music. It can be warm, strong, and calm all at the same time.

If you enjoy western pop music, or if you are looking for something new, or even if you just like reading about music, then you are in the right place. Welcome.
